Today was another lazy day!
We were a little proactive in booking accommodation and the boat for Koh Rong tomorrow and Scott finally bought a Cambodian SIM Card which he hasn't stopped going on about for weeks. It's pretty good, he bought it for $2 and then put $5 top up on but it got him $30 worth of Internet. So if we haven't got access to Internet when we are lost or need to find hotels he will be able to do the navigating instead of me!
We booked an extra night here for today but they moved us to a different room which was annoying because we had to pack everything up to move next door but we couldn't check back in for a good hour or so, meaning that we couldn't just transfer our stuff it had to be packed up.
We got chatting to a couple from Halifax, Yorkshire. Sarah and Mike, they are lovely! And a lad from Sheffield, Rich. We were all talking for a good few hours until we realised when we getting ready to go and grab a bite to eat with one another, we didn't no each other's names! We are awful at introducing ourselves, haha!
We are at street vendors, delicious! I had runner beans and chicken in a oyster and garlic sauce! Aww so good!
Afterwards we headed down to the beach and indeed we did end up at JJ's, Scott went and said hey to his Irish friend at the bar from the first night. He couldn't believe the beer was so cheap, he said (swearing and spitting in amongst this) '25 cents for a beer!? If that was the price in Ireland everybody would be dead in six months!' Haha!
We had a really good night, of course we bought a lot of beer to make sure we got then cheap in the happy hour slot and somehow we ended up on the picnic bench with a lady boy sat on it. We attract all the wrong scenes!
Me and Sarah had about three leaflets each, well with every leaflet you get a free drink but we thought surely we won't get three each and it is probably just one leaflet per person! Nope... We had the three free drinks alright! I got one beer and two whiskey and coke. The smell was enough to turn my stomach, I stupidly tried it and headed straight to the toilet to have a tactical chunder, not for me! My belly was on fire. I sobered up after that, well I couldn't have been that sober I thought it was a good idea to so the fire limbo. I nearly done but my foot got stuck too deep in the sand and I fell down. When your watching people do it I'm thinking for god sake bend your body, I could do that it's easy. Nah, it's really not. The fire is so unbelievably hot it's deceiving.
All of us had to get up early in the morning for the boat ride over to Koh Rong, we were all drunk and knew that tomorrow was going to be a right off, especially if the boat is bumpy!
Lost track of time and didn't end up getting back to the hostel until 3.30am, Scott was near enough sleep walking, he was so drunk haha!
He went barging into our room (where 6 other people are sleeping) and turned the light on banging about, I was shouting at him turn it off. Well we must have been saying something funny because even though we woke a few of them up they were all laughing at us. I would tell you if what we were blabbering on about but I haven't the foggiest!
These four hours sleep are going to be precious!
