Chaos, destruction, manic, disobedient, uncooperative, disaster, bedlam, commotion, hectic - all these words would not even begin to describe how my first class went.

Did they listen, course not!!! Did they understand, course not!!! Did my assistant translate EVERYTHING, yes. Since it was my first lesson, and I was scared and nervous (who wouldn't be of a class of over 60 students), I'm not going to critise my performance tooooo much. It definitely could have gone better - however, not trying to be a b**** - but when everyone else came back from teaching their first lesson, I was comforted by them and their disastrous lessons.

I planned way too much for my lessons, which is better than not planning enough I think. Missed out the song, and also the ball throwing and the version of the line up did not go according to plan, but adapted and did something still with the alphabet.

My second class were so well behaved and were so keen to say the English names that I gave them, and spent a very long time on colouring in their names, it passed the time, and they were quiet - not complaining. Also the assistant only spoken when necessary, this was much better. Also my thought that it couldn't possibly go as bad as the previous one gave me a weird kind of confidence. Thing that did go wrong tho was that I've been giving children English names, accidentally gave girl a boy's name, oops, but her hair was so short lol.

3rd and final class of the day was not bad either, getting the hang of the hand clapping thing to get their attention. Now just trying to plan my grade one lesson which I've got on Wed, as well as my grade 4 and 6 classes :s

Went to HOPEFULLY my final opening ceremony today as well, meant early start, was very similar to all the others I've been to, except had to hide my face until I was introducing myself - they gave me a colourful mask to do this - and then I was presented with a ring of flowers (flower cuttings banded onto bamboo shoots bent into a ring shape, placed round our necks) very nice, but flowers are dead already cause of the heat. Then once again embarrassed ourselves by singing "if ur happy and u know it" could have been worse lol.
