This small country town was purely based around the caves, I went a cave tour called 'Haggas Honking Holes'. Haggas because of the land which was owned by the haggas family and Honking holes because i guess thats what we went through! It started off straight into an absail down a 25m holes, it was fun but kind of scary because I was in control of the absail with my shaky hands holding the rope!

After a few more 8m absails down water falls we kept on following the water depper and depper into the cave, about 80m down in the end.We saw a few glowworms along the way whic was cool. We also had to scuffle and twist our way through some awkwardly shaped holes, some half filled with water to make it interesting! We climbed our way back out into the daylight and had a hot shower, it felt lik we spent an eternity in there! It was all worth it, it such a different experience when you are undrground and everyone turns there lights off and goes silent. Calming yet so confusing because there is no light at all to adjust too!

So its now off to the 'city of sails'! AUCKLAND!!!!
