WOW! This lake is FANTASTICLY BLUE!!!!!!!!
I arrive to my hostel, which again was like a big share house where everyone is family! I met a german girl and a 2 Dutch guys, all very interesting! One of the dutch guys was fresian (i think thats how u spell it) (Also interestingly one of them had family freinds from Silvin so he'd been out my way before, small world eh!). Anyway, I first leapt off to take some photos of the lake with the Church of the Good Shepard and Collie memorial. Again photos asap, I know! hahaha. It wasn't too sunny so the water wasnt as blue as what I saw the next day.
But that night I went on a star gaze tour, it was great! There are way more stars than you could imagine, cos we were in the middle of nowhere everything was visible, So iv learnt some constallation names and new speca terms as well as some mind blowin facts about the stars, all in all a great night out in the freezing cold well spent!
That next moring I set off on a walk to the top of Mount John with the german girl and the two dutchies. It was a 3 and a 1/2 hour round trip and the views were amazing, looking back onto the lake and our hostel, we chased some sheep and tried our hand at rounding them up except they can run really fast and jump as well and we were no match for them!
Every direction there was a different landscape at the peak, snow capped mountains in summer????? What the . . . . anyway they were amazing! The lake llooked so beautiful and this was because the sun was out so we were definetly given a treat by the weather that day!
I then had a relaxing night at the hostel just chilling with the hostel peoples, then tomorrow I head off to Queenstown!!! Bring it on!!!!!!
