Hmmm, this town . . why would anyone want to live here! Not the greatest of places to settle into eh! Continuous wafts of delightfully smelling sulphur! Like rotten eggs, yummy! I first up went zorbing here, for those that havnt been informed on what zorbing is ill explain. A huge blow up plastic ball where you and a few litres of water jump inside and they roll you down a hill! haha it was a good laugh but didnt last long enough, they needed a bigger hill! It was then off to as a Maiori event, dinner and a lesson on their culture. It was nothing spectacular just a brief lesson on how they lived and traditionms n what not. Then dinner was alright at first, but bvecause everything was cooked underground it all had a smokey flavour which became a tad too much in the end. I also got to see a real life Kiwi after the show too! They were much bigger than i had ever imagined, boutb the size of a full size basketball, well the females are bout that size anyway the male are bout half of that.
I was glasd to leave this place aftaer, the lake that this town is based around was nothing special either, not alot to do here part from Zorb and see aculture show. You could have also paied a thousand dimes to swim in mud but didnt have that kinda cashola and didint was smell like sulphur for the rest of my dasys in NZ! Off to a caving adventure in Waitomo then!
