Monday was a series of phone calls and wasted time. We had the tires repaired at Bob's tires in Hervey Bay but the repairs to the van were a little harder to arrange. Apollo gave us a contractor in the area but we couldn't get hold of him so in the end we arranged to drive to Noosa (our next intended stop) at the north end of the Sunshine Coast to visit a caravan repair garage. We made the journey, about 200km south and had the van repaired, the seal around the air vent had rusted. We found a nice camp site in Tewantin, just outside Noosaville and hoped for no rain, unfortunately to no avail. We were still getting dripped on but no quite as bad, so back for more repairs on Tuesday morning. This time they found a hole in the vent, that was repaired and so far so good, no more drips!
Noosa is fantastic, our new favourite place, Steph would move here tomorrow, but in keeping with Steph's tastes property isn't cheap. Noosa river comes inland from the coast feeding into a series of creeks and lakes, and there are a several headlands joined together by bridges crossing the different sections of river. Noosa Heads is a very chic area, lots of designer shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, hence Steph loving it. We spent yesterday at Beach there, the temperature got into the high 20s, which isn't bad for the middle of winter
This morning, buoyed by a good nights sleep and waking up dry, we drove to Eumundi to visit the market, another of Stephs favourite pastimes, you can guarantee if there is a market on Steph will find it and we will be going, but I do have to say it was good, not like visiting Shipley market.
This evening we went on another boat trip, this time a sunset cruise on the Noosa River, another brilliant experience, we saw some of the most amazing properties, each comfortably in the 7 figure bracket, and had a great time cruising up and down the river, chatting to some of the locals and watching the sunset. A great way to end for time in Noosa but I get the feeling it won't be long before we are back.
