Just a quick update, been told I'm not putting enough posts on here so here goes.
The flight to Darwin was a little bumpy, but there was a strong easterly wind, or so the Jet star pilot informed us! A bit weird that we flew for four and a half hours and didn't need a passport!
Around twenty past midnight we landed in Darwin and the heat was a little bit strange, 26° but the air con in the 4x4 that was our lift made it bearable.
Friday morning and Bob was finished at work by 10am so gave us a whistle stop tour around Darwin, a town centre consisting of 3 main streets, but a surrounding area that seems to go on forever. We saw the numerous buildings that Bob has had a hand in building in his 5 years in these parts and the Paspaley boats that brought him to Darwin in the first place. Seems weird to be seeing this after all these years.
A few beers on the balcony, when Jade finished work and a meal at the best restaurant in Darwin a day it was time for bed.
Today we went for a trip to Litchfield National Park, or out bush as it's known around here. It's hard to describe the place, a couple of hours from Darwin, it's remote, you can drive for miles without seeing a car, but it's full of people. The most amazing scenery, waterfalls and swimming areas. Hope the pictures do it a little more justice than I ever could. A fantastic road trip with brilliant guides.
Tomorrow we head to Humpty Doo to the jumping Croc cruise, expect a few more pictures, providing the crocs don't take my hand off and I end up like Captain Hook.
