Martin & Sarah's Big Adventure
Well hello from the South Island of New Zealand.
We managed to survive the ferry crossing and both feel like we have entered a completely different world, the sun is shining and there are mountains everwhere.
We stopped for a while in a place called Nelson, which has the most gorgeous beach (although very windy - great for martin's kite) and has the best fish and chips.
Next to Nelson is a national park called Abel Tasman, which is only accessible by foot or boat - there are absolutely no roads. We decided to get a water taxis half way into the park (the taxis was more like a speed boat and was very fast and very fun) and walk back (which is a good 6-7hours).
When we stepped onto the beach on the Abel Tasman, I really did not think beaches that beautiful existed - imagine yellow golden sand, turquoise clear water, sun beating down .......... yes you get the picture. I would have been quite happy to have spent the rest of my holiday on this beach, but unfortunately we had to get back to civilisation.
We are next heading down south, write soon.
