Martin & Sarah's Big Adventure
Well we have arrived in New Zealand, after a uneventful couple of flights.
Auckland is just like any city in England, very busy and hectic, but hopefiully a great place for us to buy a campervan in. We have also just meet up with James (Martin's brother) and his girlfriend, Sarah, who are working out here. It is really great to see some familiar faces again and had a great time celebrating MArtin's 25th birthday in a few of Auckland's bars and clubs.
We have brought a campervan, which was a great little buy and has done only 200,000miles, which apparantly is very low for this kind of vehicle. It is nice to finally have a place which we can call home.
After a few days we went off to explore the land North of Auckland, and stayed at some great places the best being arouund the Bay of Islands, which has a tropical holiday feel about it and is steeped in Maori culture and history.
Whislt in Pahia we wnet on a boat trip and saw a pod of dolphins, it was amazing to see them in the wild. It was really a high light.
After this we went to a beach that has 90 miles of sand, i have never seen a beach this size before! We then went on to Cape Reinga, which is the most Northern point in New Zealand. Here you can see the Pacific ocean and Tasman sea joining, which was really interesting.
We then gradually worked our way back to Auckland, our next port of call is to explore South of Auckland. See ya soon
