Today we bought coats!

With the extreme shifts in weather that New Zealand provides on a day-to-day basis, we decided it would be wise to buy coats. We were told that by the time we get down to Queenstown it would be snowing, so we thought we should invest in some warmer clothing sooner rather than later.

So off we went, walking down the major high street in Auckland, Queen Street, trying to find some coats. It was a pretty unexciting day and after looking in every clothes shop on the street (and stopping each other from buying hoodies) we managed to both find coats that didn't break the bank...too much. After a day of shopping we treated ourselves to watching a film in the warmth of the hostel. We chose Borat, and making use of having an oven, cooked very crispy jacket potatoes - they were lovely. In the evening, we packed our bags ready for the start of our adventure in New Zealand with Kiwi Experience - first stop, Whitianga. Xxx
