Hey everyone
Today we explored Auckland some more.
We had another day of taking things easy and once we eventually got up and out, had a nice wander around the big shopping centre. There was a huge Borders bookshop, and, as with every large bookstore we walk past, Alex had to run in and have a look in the business section to see if they stocked a certain book by a certain author - unfortunately, no luck today.
We sat in Albert Park admiring a statue of Queen Victoria, eating our Anzac cookies. We bought them to honour Anzac day, which falls on 25th April every year and commemorates the Australians and New Zealanders whose lives were lost in the world wars. The cookies are also really really good for dipping in tea.
We didn't really get up to much else other than a big food shop, from which we got the bus back and watched the news, the weather, and MTV Cribs on the television on the bus (it was a long journey). Tomorrow: Anzac day! What better day to go to the huge War Memorial Museum... Xxx
