Sunday 17th June 2018 - We decided to stay in Coober Pedy the Opal Capital of the world for a few days to relax and prepare for the next stage of our trip. It's been an intersesing experience seeing the underground houses, church and opal mines. Phil also visited the towns Golf Club; to say the least is different. The greens are made from the dirt mixed with used engine oil and raked flat.

Friday 15th June 2018 - With an early start we drove to William Creek thinking that we would arrive around 10:00am. However, due to the worsened road conditons our speed limit was dramatically reduced so our actual arrival time was 11:00am. Thursday 14th June 2018 - Marree is where we started our trip along the Oodnadatta Track. Around the campfire the night before we heard that the place to stop was Coward Springs. Not far from Marree we stopped at Alberrie Creek to view numberous sculptures made from scrap metal - an interesting collection including two planes upended and welded together. Wednesday 13th June 2018 - Left Port Augusta early, made out first stop for a coffee at Hawker and then carried on through the Flinders Ranges. On the way we saw 2 Emu's by the side of the road. Made it to Parachilna where we stopped for lunch at the Prairie Hotel and experienced an outback meal of Kangaroo, Emu and Camel.
