Feel a bit naughty today; I bought a sandwich from Starbucks, a Dunkin' doughnut, and visited a Wal-mart! In my defence it was all in the name of finding snacks for the 16 hour night train that we're now on.
(Just been informed they are building a new high speed railway that will do the journey in 2 1/2 hours, Doh! )
We're heading through the mountains to Chengdu, where the Pandas are :). I am so excited about tomorrow's bear hugs :)
For now I have the middle bunk (which i practically gave myself a hernia climbing up into) and a bag full of snacks.
I miss Bill; unfortunately he couldn't make it on this trip as I didn't download him in time, sorry Mr Bryson.
Just a quick note to any of you actually reading this; thanks for stopping by (and stay classy)- I've surprised myself by enjoying my little indulgent blog time each day, but certainly wouldn't expect anyone to read every one.
Its nearly lights out now. We passed the journey with lots of games and listing our top 5's. The group were suitably impressed by my, awesome, card trick. Also had our next language lesson - I can now say 'I want to hug the big panda' in the local dialect, so I'm all set for tomorrow.
