Was interesting sharing the stage-fright inducing no-doored loos with a few other ladies this morning. Hiked back down the mountain, after pancakes of course, attracting lots more monkeys along the way, including a very cute baby one. A small section was along a lovely river bed (pictured). Well the monks 'wake up call' was a little earlier than expected - 4:30am! Had a great day on the Emei Mountain; got cable car to the top (3030m) where the (pictured) big gold shiny statue & temple is. And after lunch set off on a lovely hike up to another monastery where we are staying for the night. Came across monkeys on the way up, even saw one leap onto a lady's back, unzip her bag and retrieve a packet of crisps- easy. Have grown quite attached to my ...
