Said hello (or rather 'nihao') to the Grand Buddha, carved into a cliff, at Leshan today. He's a big fella at 71m tall, and that's sitting down. Kinda broad too - his shoulders span 28m, and his big toe is almost as big as Sparky's at 8.5m long!
Lunched on yummy Kung pao chicken (though I had Rob Dj from radio 1 in my head: I say...) and even had chips :)
It's really hotting up the further south we go. It's also getting increasingly difficult to cross the road!
Staying in a Buddhist monastery in the mountain area Emei Shan for tonight, with the monks' morning prayers our alarm clock for our 6:30 start- we are going to the top tomorrow.
Less itchy today :)
