Hi everyone from Whangerai.

Since our last blog we have spent a few days in the bay of islands. The first day was lovely and bright. The second day it rained heavily, very heavily. So we spent the morning hiding in the van.

Luckily by lunch it had completely gone so we set off for Whangerai.

When we arrived we spent the afternoon at the movies. The next day we got up and spent the next morning at the movies (again). The afternoon we spent seeing the falls, the ancient Kauri trees and the lookout over the town. Afterwards we went to see another movie - can you tell we're getting travelled out?

This evening we are catching up with Julie - Claires mum's cousin, who is treating us to dinner and a propper bed for the night! Tommorow we are going with Julie to the beach for our penultimate day in the van, hopefully the weather will be nice and sunny.

Only 8 days till we come home . . .
