Hi everyone,

Morning from Auckland. Only three more days to go.......

Its been a fun few days. We had a lovely sleep at Julies - its amazing how small that van was. We got up late and went to the beach. Julie has a caravan set up at the seaside so we jumped in the van and headed down.

We spent the afternoon watching Dean take part in a surf competition. The surf was a bit lame but I still got to see him do a handstand on a surf board. He didn't win so god alone knows what the winner did?

We wandered down the beach and enjoyed the sun before heading to the local bar for a few beers.

That night we had some awesime fish that Dean and Dennis had caught the day before we got there - yum!

Our last night in the van was nice but we were both looking forward to a bed.

The next morning we sat watching the local triathlon going on right infront of our tents. Pretty good for our last day. Then we said our goodbyes and headed back to the big city. The drive was really easy and we got back about 1pm. I left Claire and the bags at the hostel and took the van back to the rentals.

That all went pretty smoothly and I got dropped of at the airport and took the shuttle bus back into town. Where Claire had got us settled in.

That evening we wandered into the city and tried to get our bearings - we both remember the place a bit so it was fun going do you remember...

Yesterday we got up and took the walking tour in the book - so we saw some parks and the university that we might have otherwise missed. We stopped at the harbour for lunch before heading up the sky tower. I still don't like heights but the views were amazing. The tower is so much bigger than everything around it that the views gon on for ever.

After that Claire dragged me to the movies - I think running around for 9 months is getting on top of her. Finally we strolled back to the hostel and had a late tea.
