We awoke this morning after a sleep in, phoned room service for breakfast and just as I hopped out of the shower there was a knock at the door. Our food was being set up out the front of our door, next to our private sun lounge bed and I nearly lost my breath when I stepped outside and saw the view again. We had an al a carte menu and we could pick as much as we wanted. It was presented carefully and tasted delicious.
We ventured up the pedestrian street today to have a look at shops and the caldera and water views from different angles. There was a few people about, and some with walky-talkies, we didn't know why. Another afternoon at the pool. This time up by the cave pool. On presentation of Sean's last drink (he'd had a few) he was told they were out of Jack Daniels and there was an issue with their supplier (it was Sunday). We were also talking with the general manager who helped us with accommodation of our next hotel in Mykonos. Transfers too.
Dinner was at Ambrosia. Not far from the hotel. We walked past it earlier. On our way there we past some celebrities. The Kardasians were holidaying in Greece and happened to be staying near us. I actually walked into their hotel, not knowing at the time, asking if our reservation was booked there, "oh no, you definitely don't have a dinner reservation here tonight," the desk lady said - she didn't even know our name. We ended up seeing the smallest of the older three with her kids and hubby go back to the hotel. We also spotted the mum and one of the youngest daughters the next day, and then I think I saw one of the older ones in a jewellery store too, but there was a body guard and one of the walky-talky men in the way, so you could only presume. There was film crew in a cafe too.
So dinner, another superb feast and another romantic table for us on the edge of the cliff. Drinks, service, everything was superb. Even a free sorbet with lemonchello before our mains. Mmm mmm.
