This morning we sadly left Galapagos, we said goodbye to Kev and boarded our flight back to Quito. We managed to get almost every form of transport; taxi, boat, bus and plane and by the time we got in our final taxi to the hostel in Quito we were all dozing off. Nay nay was wide awake though and woke us up with his own rendition of 'Wannabe' by the spice girls! Browny thought she must have been dreaming but apparently they were his favourite band when he was a kid.

We hadn't booked anywhere to stay but luckily there was space in the first place we went to, just $7.50 with breakfast! We dropped our bags off and headed straight out as we wanted to book our trip to Cotopaxi for tomorrow. Unfortunately we were too late to get anything but instead we decided to go to Otovalo market tomorrow and booked a 2 day trip to the Quilotoa crater lake and Cotopaxi Volano for Sunday and Monday. I was quite pleased we wouldn't be going to Cotopaxi until Monday as with the highest point we climb to being around 5000m I think I need a couple of days in Quito to acclimatise to the altitude!

In the morning we had decided we were going to have McDonald's for breakfast and after a long day of travelling everyone's faces lit up as soon as we saw the golden gates along the street! I have never been so happy to have a McDonald's and the 10 chicken nuggets meal rather than the 6 back home was an added bonus! With us all content we headed straight back to bed and were looking forward to our lie in in the morning.
