Today we had a bit of a lie in and then made our way up to Otavalo market, which is north of Quito. It is meant to be at its best on a Saturday and as we had a spare day before our planned trip to Cottopaxi we took the opportunity to go. This took a few changes on buses and a lot of waiting in queues til we finally got on the 2hour 15min bus to the market. This morning we sadly left Galapagos, we said goodbye to Kev and boarded our flight back to Quito. Today was our full day on Isabella Island. We began our tour at 8 and Andres took us to many places around the south of the Island. We finally saw some flamingos, they were all eating shrimps in a lagoon making some funny noises! Last day of the cruise :(. We were up mega early at 5:30am and on an island walking round by 6am. We saw blue footed boobies and frigrate birds again, and although we have seen these a lot on our cruise, today we saw something special as the male frigate birds inflated their red necks and the blue footed boobies were carrying out courting displays.
