Hi Everyone, rnrnAs you probably have all realised we are about a month behind now but after we were in the Catlins we headed to Dunedin. rnrnDunedin is supposed to be like a Scottish town and when we wrrived it was only 13 degrees so it actually felt like it. We were freezing had to get the trainers out and roll down the trousers not impressed with that. So to cheer ourselves up we went ot the Cadburys chocolate factory it was a little bit childish really but great we got loads of free chocolate (which Matt managed to nearly finish within an hour of us leaving) and they do loads more varieties than we get in England. As that was more for Louise we also went to the Speights Brewery for Matt were after spending time havign a tour around the brewery you got to try there brews. It was fab as you had to pull your own beers and you could have as much as you wanted while there trademark adverts played on the TV behind (good job you werent there Carl you would have probably managed to drink more than the price of the ticket, Matt did a good enough job). rnrnAfter both eating and drinking ourselves full we headed to Baldwins St, the worlds steepest street to work it all off. It was so steep took us about 10 mins to reach the top but only about 2mins to get to the bottom again you just had to run. rnrnFinally the sun came out so we headed to the Otago Penisular for the day, it was only about an hours drive away from Dunedin but felt like a different world with beautful scenery and the chance to see more wildlife. At the top end was the Albatross centre the only place in NZ were they nest on the mainland, but being tight arses we decided not to bother paying to go in and sure enough we were right not to bother as after about 5 mins wait we saw 2 flying above our heads before going in to land on the cliffs below. On the beach jsut below here we were strolling along looking at a seal playing in the sea when after about 10 mins we finally realised there were loads sunning themselves on the rocks and in the grass behing us they were so well camoflagued we hadnt even noticed Doh!!! There was also the chance to see Blue penguins coming ashore on the beach here but not until dusk so at 2pm we were a tad to early and with not much else to do we decided not to bother waiting around. so we headed back to Dunedin and back up the coast towards Christchurch.rnrnTake care rnTatey and Lou xxx
