In Lima, Peru! So now I'm in the Southern Hemisphere and will be for the next 2 months or so.
It's been a very long day of travelling. Am absolutely shattered as didn't sleep very well last night and woke up at 5.30am! Lovely(!)
FaceTimed my mum this morning which was lovely! Camilla, Pierre and Jacob were around too so it was nice to see all their faces and talk to them after a while. Nice to see familiar faces too and signing for a change - so much more relaxing lol! Saw Scarlet too for a while after she woke up from her nap. She's grown since I last saw her a month ago and as adorable as ever :)
Waited for my transfer to the airport. It was meant to pick me up at 9am and I was ready early just in case but it didn't arrive until 9.20! I was getting worried for a bit. My flight wasn't until 1pm and it's just under an hour to the airport so had some time to spare.
Picked people up on the way. Some people really do take their time! There was this one couple that had this huge surfboard that had to go on top of the bus and the guy took FOREVER to put it on! And there was really bad traffic on the way to the airport!
A good thing about leaving early as still had plenty of time to spare. Checked in then grabbed some lunch. There was this HUGE queue to get through immigration control. Took almost an hour to get through!
Got on the plane to San Salvador where I had to change to get a connecting flight to Lima. It was a very quick flight, only about 20 minutes in the air!
The flight to Lima was 4 and a half hours. Played on my iPad the whole journey!
Went through immigration and picked up my bag very quickly and got a taxi to the hotel which was about an hour away. The roads here are crazy, the Peruvians' driving is erratic lol!
It's a huge contrast from Mexico and Guatemala. Looking forward to exploring more of Peru. :)
The hotel is really lovely! Easily the best of the trip so far.
I missed the group meeting unfortunately so haven't met anyone yet. Sharing with this girl that I haven't met as she's out at the moment. It looks like there are 14 people in the group. A huge contrast to the last one which only had 5!!
An early start as off to Cusco in the morning.

Caroline Fearon Really enjoying your blog so much. Hugo is also in Peru right now. Would be hilarious if you bumped into him on top of Machu Picchu !! He is also visiting some salt lakes and horse riding in some sacred valley. Have fun darling xx
