Last day in Guatemala and Central America.
Woke up early to pack and to say goodbye to the others as they had to leave early. Checked out and walked to the hotel I was staying in. It was further than I thought! It was too early to check in as it was only 8.30am so I left my bags in the luggage storage and went out to explore more of Antigua.
Went to this chocolate museum where they explained about the source of chocolate and the Mayan tradition etc. Made my own chocolate from scratch from cacao beans. Was with this lovely Australian couple. It was great fun! Made various drinking chocolates as well. Some looked disgusting but tasted so nice! Left the chocolate I made to set and collected it a few hours later. Felt so sick afterwards after all those chocolates! Had to have something savoury afterwards to feel better lol!
I had had enough of walking at about 3pm so decided to check in my hotel and chill out for the rest of the day. The hotel was so cheap yet one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in so far on this trip. And in a brilliant location.
Uploaded photos on online photo storage. It's a lifesaver so if I lose my camera, (touch wood) I won't have lost all the photos which is a great thing! It took forever though as I had so many photos to save. I was meant to have an early night but it didn't finish uploading until 12am and then I couldn't get to sleep. Probably because I was worried about oversleeping as I had a plane to catch.
