Today was the last full day in Cusco before flying back to Lima tomorrow.
Had a nice easy morning, didn't have to rush for anything which was nice. Although I did get up at 6.30am! Guess my body clock is used to waking up early!
Walked around Cusco on my own for a bit before meeting some of the others at 11am to go to this chocolate museum. Turns out it was the exact same one as I went to in Guatemala!! Didn't do the chocolate making class though, just looked around and tried some chocolate. Not as much as last time thankfully lol!
Went to the Inka museum which was about the history of the Incas. Half of us went while the others stayed and relaxed in the park. It was interesting, so much to read though!
Went for lunch in this really nice cafe, had a nice sandwich. It was so popular though so we had to wait for a bit before getting a table. Was worth it though!
Afterwards we went to this restaurant called The Fallen Angel to make a reservation for this evening's meal. It's meant to be a really good restaurant and it's not too expensive. It's our last night together as a group as not everyone is flying back to Lima, some are going to other places.
Walked around for a bit until some people got fed up and went back to the hotel. Sat in the park with 4 others until they got cold and decided to go back too! So I just stayed behind as I wanted to buy postcards and managed to buy an alpaca zip up cardigan for just under £10. Definitely will keep me warm for the next couple months. Got a free alpaca magnet with it too as the woman was so pleased I bought something off her. Stamps here are ridiculously expensive though! 4 stamps cost me just under £6!
Not so sure if I like the alpaca cardigan anymore! Well at least it'll be used to keep me warm then I can get rid of it lol!
Met the others and went to The Fallen Angel for dinner. It was out of this world! I had steak in a port and balsamic vinegar sauce with Andean chips. Probably the best meal so far.
Afterwards 6 of us went to a bar for a couple drinks. Until one girl felt ill so we walked her all the way back to the hotel. Another one decided to go to bed so it was only 4 of us left so we went back to the same bar!
Don't have to get up too early tomorrow, so going to have a bit of a lie in!
