Woke up to loads of snow, obviously it must have snowed heavily last night. It's gorgeous. So glad I'm not doing the Tongariro Crossing which is an eight hour hike. I would die especially with all the snow and ice lol!
Went for a walk with some others which was meant to take around two hours. It ended up being around three hours! Uta, a German woman had hurt her ankle three days ago. So I recommended her not to do the walk especially in the snow but she went anyway. She twisted her ankle again about 20 minutes into the walk. So she was in so much pain and couldn't walk any more so me and another girl, Fiona, had to help her back to the hotel which was a very slow walk, and make sure she was okay before catching up with the others who were kindly waiting for us. It was a good walk, went to a waterfall which was the halfway point. So much snow so it really did look beautiful.
Some others were getting tired towards the end and getting slower and slower! So I had to stop quite a few times to make sure they were okay and to let them catch up with me. In the end I just carried on with two others as there were lots of steps and hills and they were taking forever!
I was starving when I got back so had some lunch. Then I just had a very very relaxing afternoon which was so nice. I finally caught up with my blog which was massively needed as I kept putting it off! So I'm finally caught up now :D
Had a lovely BBQ in the evening which was so nice. Had a few drinks and just chilled afterwards by the fire. Still have to get used to this weather at this time of year as I still find it weird lol!
Off to Rotorua tomorrow. Will be staying with Maoris in a marae which should be interesting. So I'm looking forward to it. And it should be warmer too!

Mum Strange to see a photo of you in the snow as it's hot here! BBQ in the snow? I'm sure you all tried to hog the fire for the warmth! Xxxx
