Last day in Mexico today.
Had a nice lie in until half 8. I know many of you may be thinking "What?! You call that a lie in?!" Usually wake up around 6/7am every day.
Spent today exploring San Cristobal. A beautiful place full of culture. Visited two churches which were at the top of many many steps! Decided to ditch the map and just wander about and get lost. More fun that way for sure (because I'm hopeless with maps :p)! And my sense of direction is definitely improving, yay! Didn't get lost at all :D
Tried to buy some Toms as don't have any covered shoes apart from my walking shoes and I need something smarter for the evenings especially when it's cold as I only have smart sandals which won't be a good idea in the next month or so! But there were none in my size :( they were cheap too, only £12. Never mind! Will keep looking for something!
Had tapas for lunch with 2 others. Was delicious! There was a good variety; octopus, prawns, meatballs etc.
Had enough of walking and looking around so just went back to the hotel and chilled for a few hours.
It was freezing tonight! Pouring with rain too. We all did our own thing instead of having a group dinner. Juan went to the cinema to watch a film and asked if we'd like to come along but I couldn't be bothered to sit through a film that I wouldn't understand! It was an American movie, can't remember the name of it. So he went alone! Us 3 girls decided to go to this proper Mexican restaurant seeing as it was the last time we'd have proper Mexican food in Mexico. The Russian couple had their romantic dinner date elsewhere.
Had a chilled evening, first time since arriving that we didn't go to a bar! Meant to spend it packing but I still haven't done anything and my room is in a mess! Oops! I'll get there eventually :p
Leaving Mexico tomorrow and crossing the border into Guatemala. Will be staying in Panajachel for 2 nights by the lake which should be good. Got a very long journey ahead of us though, the longest journey of the trip so far! Hoping to spend most of it sleeping :p
