Arrived!!
Well after a very long journey from Melbourne to London I am tired and ready for bed.
The flight left Melbourne without any hassels and I was seated in row 71 on the lovely Boeing 747. The rows only go to 73, so I was right at the back. However I had an aisle seat with only one seat between myself and the window. In that seat was a lovely Melbourne guy on his way back to London after spending Christmas with his family.
Ricky was a fantastic guy to sit next to all the way to London. We wondered around the deserted Hong Kong duty-free and transit lounges passing the time talking about all sorts of things. Then he did the most supportive thing - once back on the plane heading for London, he took away my meal and gave me a servette as my stomach proceeded to put my previous meal into the vomit bag. What an introduction! I was so disappointed as I had earlier acknowledged myself to not feeling travel sickness at all throughout the first leg of my flight. But a true gentleman, Ricky made sure I was ok during the remainder of the flight and even gave me his number, should I need help at any stage of my travels.
It is likely we will meet up again in Edinburgh as we will both be there for Hogmany (New Years Eve celebrations).
Kelly meet me at the tube station closest to her and Will's apartment. The was no snow on the ground, and it didn't rain either as we walked back to Kel's place. After some time at home, Kelly and I headed out to Covent Gardens to meet Will for dinner. I could bearly keep my eyes open when I bid farewell to Kelly and Will as they set off got the theatre and I home to bed.
Which is where I am off to now.
Tomorrow is off up to Edinburgh.
