Tamara's Travels
Straight off the trip a few girls and I hired a zippy little car and took off to see Stonehenge and Bath for the day. Bath was an added extra that we kinda, only just fitted in.
Stonehenge is really quite amazing, even in the rain and intermittent sun, these huge stones that stand tall out of the earth have a definate energy about them. It's a little hard to explain. Just gotta go there and experience it for yourselves :)
A picnic lunch in the car because the weather still wasn't all that fine, before we attempted to get to Bath. Well, we did get there eventually, but with no maps and when you miss a turn off, kinda makes for an interesting journey that takes close about 2hrs instead of 45min. Well at least the American girls can say they got to see the real English countryside. And I enjoyed the driving, was better than going straight along a big motorway.
However, due to the extra time it took us to get to Bath, we had only a very short time there to explore. So had a quick look around the Roman Baths, before jumping back in the car and onto the motorway. Damn English signs, they really aren't very good, but luckily we had turned the right way and were on our way back to London.
Brave and courageous me, drove through London. Not that bad at all. Having been in London for a bit, I think that certainly helped, because although most of my experiences were in trains or buses I still had an idea of what the drivers are like.
Was a great day :)
