Ladies and Gentleman... Greetings from the city of sails! We have had 2 days in Auckland getting ourselves prepared for a months whistlestop tour of New Zealand. This included sorting out hiring a car! Wow - a car! We will be mobile again and no longer relying on the lovely overnight Greyhound buses of Australia (actually a bit sad about that though to be honest!). Think we have picked up quite a bargain... pretty sure it wont quite be an Aston, but will find out tomorrow when we pick it up! We will be heading north first of all to soak up some Maori culture. We went to a Super 12 rugby match - Blues v Cats. It was good fun and Auckland won so everyone was pretty happy after! Also have been to the top of the tallest building in the southern hemisphere today (the Sky Centre, which is the tall thing pictured on this postcard)! The views were pretty stunning to say the least. Also lots of walking round the waterfront. Its a lovely city - 3x the size of London with just 1 million people in it! Will let you know how it all progresses... and what it's like to drive again! Love T x
