We were woken up by a pneumatic drill above our heads.....
We went to The Cape of Good Hope. We spent 5 hours driving around the park. In the car park the very silly Afrikans lady next to us opened her door and let the wind smash it into our car. There was no dent/scratch but the woman was a silly one indeed and seemed very offended by us! We got the train up to the high point and it was sooooo windy that people were getting blown over - literally. It's the strongest wind I've ever experienced.
We drove around to the bit of land which is actually the cape of good hope and we saw ostrich eating right by the sea which was cool. We parked by the sign post where the wind was literally blowing the waves away as the rolled. Sea water was raining hard on the car and the car was shaking a lot as we ate out sandwiches. I was worries about the velocity of the salt damaging the car but it was quite funny watching people trying to not get blown away for photos.
We then attempted to take some photos. I got sea foam blown into my ear and the flying sand and salt really hurt!!!! Our arms were tingling when we got back in!
We then drove from bay to bay, seeing baboons and beautiful scenery!
We drove back through Scarborough and stopped at spar on the way back and had a chilled afternoon. I enjoyed a long hot bath and Garth napped. We ate crumbed fish and watched Hidalgo.
