Arrived on Fraser in the 4x4 and drove for miles along the beach!! Eventually stopped at a place known as Ely Creek, which was a creek running into a fresh water pool. We paddled, before setting off further down the beach!! Next stop was the Champagne Pools, basically a set of pools inside rocks which were filled by the waves crashing over the rocks!! So, after spending most of the day waiting around in Airlie with nothing to do but suffer a hangover, we got the bus at 7pm overnight to Rainbgow Beach!! After arriving early morning at Dingo's (our hostel and base prior to our Fraser Island safari) we spent the day looking around the place and getting briefed on the next few days adventure!! That morning we headed to Peter Pans to book a boat trip, which we did... it would set off that afternoon! I also booked my Fraser Island tour and Kiwi Experience for New Zealand. Arrived in Airlie Beach around 7pm, and Tom pulled his old trick of checking us into the first hostel he saw, without us comparing prices!!! Still, it was pretty nice so we decided to get up early and try and book onto a Whitsundays Sailing Trip the following day!
