My final nights stay in Ho Chi Minh was more than enjoyable. I met up for a beer with Abbey, my friend from Cornwall who I'd visited the museum with earlier in the day.
After an hour I saw a striking pair of blue trousers amidst a crowd of people. I'm sure I'd seen those trousers before. After closer inspection I realised it was Greg's trousers, and there was Emily! Yes, randomly I had bumped into my Polish friends who I'd shared the Ankor Wat experience with in Siem Reap.
After the excitement of the reunion died down, we shared a beer and a good catch up of our travels. Also, I've managed to secure an invite over to Poland next summer for the European Championships (nice work!)
Like all good things, the night came to an end, and with one final call to the bread omelette woman in the morning, I was ready to start my journey to the airport.
In the true random nature of travelling, I started chatting to an American girl (Jill) on the bus & she was also flying to Hanoi.
After a turbulent filled flight and a squashed minibus journey from the airport, we had decided it'd be a good idea financially to share a twin room. Risky, maybe, but it's cheaper and no riskier than sharing a dorm room.
In addition to visiting all these beautiful places, a major part of travelling is having the ability to socialise and meet new people. Fortunately this is one area on which I thrive.
