After a slow hazy start and a lie in till 12 (yes I did hit the buckets again last night!!) I took a wander out.
First stop was my bread omelette lady! This is simply an omelette in a baguette with some vegetables costing 45p you can't go wrong!
Next up was a slow walk to the war museum. I had last night agreed to meet two girls (one from Plymouth, one from Holland) at the war museum for 2pm.
On my way I stopped off at a park nearby as I attempted to get some relaxation. The motorcycle and taxi drivers still managed to find me! They eventually got the message and I could carry on chilling.
2pm soon arrived and I went to meet my friends. The war museum was fascinating, although rather propaganda filled! I'm certainly glad I didn't take my American flag in there with me!!
The saddest fact was that 3million Vietnamese died during the war, 2million of them civilians and many of them children.
Also due to the agent orange toxic liquid the USA dropped on Vietnam, 3 generations of children after the war were born with defects. Some of the pictures were horrific. This may explain why, to this day, locals walk around with missing limbs.
I refused to get drawn into the propaganda of the museum, however it was well worth a visit.
On the way back we visited a local Market for some bartering practice!
Tomorrow I fly to Hanoi in the North where I'll spend the best part of a week before visiting Laos.
