Tonight is my last night in Pattaya before I move on to an island called Koh Chang on the East coast of Thailand.

This will be my final destination before going to Cambodia.

I'd like to take this opportunity to reflect on what's been an interesting visit to this strange city.

First of all, it had been great to be next to a beach after nearly 3 weeks in cities. However the beach wasn't quite as exotic as what it may sound.

I spent the day on a different part of the beach today and this was a bad move! I was constantly harassed by sellers of all kind. Sunglasses, ornaments, seafood, hammocks, table cloths you name it.

As the cloud came over I decided to make my way back to the hotel and en route I was harassed for money off a girl with one eye and offered drugs by a boy who looked no older than 10!!

I also won a star prize of £500 or a free digital camera, the catch being I need to go to their executive lounge to pick it up. The acting was terrible as the lady said "WOW! You've become our first star prize winner". I just laughed and carried on.

Pattaya is a great place to come and visit, but only if you can handle what's going on here. Sex is literally on tap and it saddens me that this is the only way they can make a living.

Lonely old men are keeping the business going and while they have steady customers, the prostitution industry will continue to boom.

I guess this is all part of the experience. I've enjoyed my stay here, but am looking forward to moving on to Kho Chang.
