A beach at last!!
I'm now nearly 3 weeks in and I've finally drawn myself away from busy cities and am currently lying on a sun lounger in 30 degree sunshine relaxing as the waves crash agains the shore.
The beach is not quite paradise, in fact I've seen better beaches in Britain, however you cannot beat that holiday feeling when you're lying on a beach.
Last night I wandered out of the hotel to a street called walking street. This wasn't for the lighthearted as prostitutes (most of them transvestites) try to lure you to their business.Sadly a lot of middle age men take them up on their offer as every bar has a lonely man with a young Thai girl in his company.
Fortunately for me I had the pleasure of two Russian girls' company as they were equally disgusted and saddened by what was going on.
We danced to traditional Russian music and had a giggle, staying well clear of ladyboy prostitutes!
Pattaya seems to have a love/hate feel to it. I can see why people love it and hate it. I actually love it but not for the same reason all the lonely middle aged men love it!
The place got it's name back in the Vietnam war as this is where Americans were based and undoubtedly indulged in the local delights!
Anyhow time to turn over and tan my front ;)

I would love to be on a beach soaking up 30 degrees sunshine right now .. whatever it looks like !! it is typical british weather today .. raining again .haa haa. we have booked a theatre in London for Tuesday .. to see 'Woman in Black' London won't be the same without you!! Mary My Dad was stationed in Thailand for a while. I know it was a different time and Era, but still had prostitutes back then too.
