Another new country.
After a relatively hassle free 11 hour journey from Krabi I successfully reached Langkawi in Malaysia.
In typical random travelling fashion, I got talking to 3 lads (one from my hometown Chester) who were planing to head to the same area as me. We decided to save the earth and share a taxi.
To economise even further we decided to take up a room which was more resembling an apartment than a dorm. We have en suite, kitchen, fridge, sofa and a television which only has two channels.
Last night we took a stroll out to an Arabian restaurant. We could immediately notice a slight rise in price on the important things i.e. Alcohol!
As the nightlife seemed a little quieter than Thailand, and as we'd been travelling since 6:30am, we decided to go back to the apartment for a game of poker.
This was a great laugh & I continued where I left off from Thailand and won! My poker name "Loose cannon" has a 100% record in South East Asia so far.
Today we went for breakfast and hired out some scooters for the day. We took a ride North up the coast to visit the waterfalls and sky bridge (pictured). The scenery was magnificent and the people were really friendly & constantly taking photos with us (I later discovered they thought the four of us were footballers).
Tonight we're going to check out the nightlife on the beach, which is apparently where it's at.
Tomorrow the lads are moving on to Penang and I've pre booked a flight for Thursday therefore it's going to be another farewell. However we are going to be in KL at the same time which means we may well meet again.
Still loving the travelling, just hating the fact 12 weeks have nearly passed and it feels like no time :(
