It's currently day 3 of the rainfall and signs don't look good for imminent dry spots.
I seriously don't think I've ever witnessed rainfall like it. I'm really pleased I went tubing on day 1 as I think my tubing days are now over as it's far too dangerous with the constant rainfall.
The main predicament I have is whether to move on up to Luang Pabang, or just get back to Viantiene. Either way my next plan is to take a plane back to Bangkok before heading south of the island.
There is a true sense of depression around here and as a natural sun worshiper, it's really starting to get to me too.
Trouble is, I'm not sure it's going to be any better elsewhere in Laos. And there are dangers of landslides along the 'not so stable' roads.
I guess it's a case of sit and wait. Apologies if this blog post isn't very interesting, but it's so difficult to blog about nothing.
I'm not sure how much more rain I can take :(

Mum Aww poor you!! . . with the rain (but not the tubing!!) I thought I read somewhere that they had closed the tubing down .. it's too dangerous I have looked at a few video's on you tube .. . i'm thanking God that you can't do any more lol!! Don't worry about writing interesting blogs .. you are telling it how it is and that's great ..no glossing over it .. you will appreciate the good times even more when they come having experienced all that!! Sorry to tell you but here it's going to be hot again today.. I think you have sent the sun over here .. christine booth sorry to hear about all the rain nathan we could do with a little here as they are talking about being short water the river is quite low the sun will soon shine for you i tried to call you on skype but did not manage it keep your pecker up and still enjoy .chris
