In the tubing!

Day 1 of Viang Vieng was a little crazy to say the least!

I was talking to two people on the bus ride here (Laura & Ross) and we decided to share the tubing experience together.

For those who are unsure what tubing means, its basically the process of drifting down the rapid river on an inner tube, stopping at each bar along the way.

This is a very messy experience and unfortunately causes many horrific injuries and sometimes costs lives.

As expected I bumped into the Irish lads off the Halong Bay tour in the first bar. Tmas was so happy to see me he threw up on my leg during a whiskey drinking game!!

That set the standard for the rest of the day. As we drifted down the river visiting bar after bar, drinking games a plenty, there's no wonder this place takes so many lives. Fortunately all I lost was my Y3 flip flops. They were an expensive pair but nowhere near the price of my life!

The weather hasn't stopped raining here in Viang Vieng, however it doesn't really matter as most of the time is spent in a river anyway.

I'm going to be stereotypical & purchase an 'in the tubing' vest. Now that's living alright!!
