Hello
We arrived in Bangkok (koh saim road) and found a lovly place to stay called the Green House and without the fan it is true to its name.
The first night was eventful as you can read below stated by Matt and Dan (drunk):
We wanted to have our photo taken with some chick-boys but stu was the only 1 with a camera... anyway the story goes... stu wouldn\'t take 1 of the chick-boys cos he thought that 1 of them was gonna rape dan! Dan was well up for it!!!1 \'i cried\' (cannas 20004)... we\'ve had a few - it\'a all good (in the words of pereira - do 1 - sam and gal come and see us!)
Love dan and matt via stu

We got our first experience on a Tuk Tuk today it was so cool, the drivers are nutters. Mr Tuk Tuk gave us a grand tour of some beautiful temples around the city and huge Buddhas, he also took us to see the Golden Mount and from the top you could see the whole city, it was not a bad veiw. In one temple dan decide to recreate a chelsea celebration in one on the temple, however the monk didnt take to kindly to dans exploits, after that Mr Tuk Tuk disapeared along with his Tuk Tuk, so this other decide to take us on a tour of all the Jewellery and silk store however we did get a free tuk tuk for the whole day.

We spent to day in the centre of Bangkok, Siam square, having a look around the huge shopping centres, you can barter for anything. We then went over to have a gander at the national stadium of Thailand, not a bad stadium (Dixon you would of loved it). After that we walked down to the Central World Plaza which looked amazing at nite. Once nite had fallen decided to look for a bar, and we found a bar and what a bar it was for the people who know us you can guess, what a laugh.

The day of 2 extremes, we eventually got to see the Grand Palace and Emerald Place, and it was worth the wait, it was quite amazing sight there is no were in the world like this and this is our first country. The Grand Palace is there Buckingham Palace, the building looks very western however it had a very eastern style roof, again a beautiful build.
We then moved on to the temple of dawn which over looked the main river through the city, as in the name i think it would be a site at dawn than during the day, but still very amazing. Our last visit was to see the Wat Po the lying buddha, it was huge and the best Buddha out of them all, and we have seen alot. After our bit off touristy find we still had to make our way up to Chiang Mai for our trek in the jungle which sounds cool. At the end of our stay in Bangkok, it was a very beautiful city with a lot of history and culture, you could say what a start. Off to Chiang Mai Baby.
