As I mentioned before Rog was feeling poorly and as predicted because we've all been stuck in the same room Steve and I are now dosed up with poorly sickness too. People do seem to be taking a wide berth and the Asian folk here whip out their surgical masks at the mere hint of a cough, all on the presumption of SWINE FLU!!! I'm not sure how this is in England but it seems to dominate the news here I guess rightly so when people are dying, but these people had underlying illnesses, not exactly healthy strapping prime of their life specimens like us!!
We all feel like poo the chaps have their health and safety course today and then we're off to the south island at 6pm.
Fast forward a few hours…..
The course is completed and providing that they get their licenses then they need to complete some tests over the next year and can be fully registered as a result. The references came through so we've presented them and the course certificate nothing left to now but await the board's decision in two weeks, even more waiting..
I am writing this on the boat across to the south island and I'm so pleased that the swaying has calmed down, oh no there it is again… Anyway, I was saying I was so pleased the swaying had calmed down because Steve and I were nearly sick on the last ferry because of the constant motion and teasing our brains into thinking our legs were drunk. This time isn't as bad but we're not feeling great, quite fuzzy headed, tired, hungry (won't eat yet not good idea) all we really want is to get off and into a nice warm bed on the island we prefer.. Just another 45 mins and accommodation hunt to go.
Will update again once we have news! Xx
P.S Sorry no pics of Wellington, from what we saw of the North Island (which wasn't a lot admittedly) it isn't a patch on the south. All we really saw in Wellington was streets and you see plenty of them every day!
