Gascoyne Junction 27/5/15
We've decided to take a break from coastal towns, turning sharp right once again, this time heading for the bush. A great little outback spot, very new government built and operated roadhouse/ bar/restaurant and caravan park - wonderful amenities and newly grassed sights in the middle of nowhere. Apparently this is the only liquor licence held by the WA government. Enjoyed our Barramundi at the bistro while we had Foxtel origin 1 viewing to ourselves- perfect and a win for our side. Our aim was to check out Kennedy Range NP but unseasonal rain had fallen and the park had been closed. Plan B was to visit Mt Augustus NP, all ok with the roads. It is a great habitat for wedge tail Eagles around these rocky outcrops and we were fortunate enough to spot many, either feeding on roadkill or sitting on tree tops.
