Jabiru 7/8/15
A longer than usual drive today to reach Kakadu NP, Jabiru being the service town in the park. What a wonderful four days we spent with our exceptional hosts Lou and Chris who are never short on providing great conversation, food, laughter and glasses never remain half empty!! The Britannia, Chris's new boat was well used, taking us onto Yellow Water in the NP and another day along the East Alligator R , both days viewing dozens of crocs on the banks and lurking just beneath the water surface. Fishing was attempted but nothing to report, not even a bight! Some off-roading to one of their favourite billabongs, Bucket Billabong was a treat. Nothing better than setting up camp chairs on the banks with a huge spread of finger foods and a few cold beers and wine - divine. Our stay was wonderful.
