A very slow morning due to the heat and overindulgence last night. Went next door to the cafe for breakfast and feeling human again. Caught the trolley bus up to the castle and as usual a fantastic view. This time overlooking Hungary and Austria. Amazing sight towards Austria with a huge wind farm in the distance. Spent the rest of the day walking around old town and trying to stay cool ( unsuccessfully). Had to come home and have cold showers to freshen up before heading out again. Waiting for Steve and Sylv Hall to arrive but they took a detour on the way so were a lot later than expected. Eventually they made it and was great to catch up over a few drinks and swap stories. Below is an excerpt from Steve and Sylv's blog that describes our lodgings beautifully:
Apparently lights are out at midnight and the lift stops working as well, what a crack up. We named our room the 'Stalin room' and Kaz reckons they got the 'Karl Marx room'. Not all bad though as each came with a special free gift. The Stalin Room on level 2 came with a nest of cooing doves that kept us company all night and Kaz and Steve on the floor below had the dog outside their window that played with a plastic bottle in the early hours of the morning. This dog we have since named 'Lenin'.
