Left Cologne after brekky as a 4+ hr drive to Hamburg. Made good time, arriving about 3 pm. There is no speed limit on the German motorways and the locals make the most of it, some were almost flying, had to be going over 200 km/hr. Our little Renault was great, comfortably sitting on 120, but faster if needing to pass. Managed to jag another tight parking space close to hostel so no dramas on that front. Left la louviere around 10 after taking time to actually learn about the car properly. Changed gps to "Aussie Ken", as thought he might know the way better than "Pommie Serena". Straight roads to Cologne as motorway all the way. Going over borders is very different to 30 yrs ago with just a road sign marking the change in country. Stephen feeling very confident driving but realized when we got to Cologne the motorway had lulled him into a false sense of security....
