Day 109 - Friday 18th June

Arrived in Santa Marta at 6am to find ROASTING heat. Incredible. Took the short taxi ride up the coast to the neighbouring fishing village of Taganga and caught some of the football. Bakery breakfast and dipped my toes into the warm waters on the beach. Finally managed to catch Mike in China over Skype, as he was up to catch another great England game. The 0:0 draw with Algeria delivered. Read in a hammock under the sunset before pizza and contraband beer (election voting on Sunday means a dry weekend from 6pm Friday)...
