Now it was onto our last place on the East Coast, Cairns -very sad.

Here was stayed at the party hostel, Gilligans, where we shared a room with soem really nice girls. The first night we all went to the Woolshed for a bargain dinner ($10) for a meal, drink and pudding and spent the rest of night drinking and dancing on the tables. Also bumped into some guys we had met in Byron and the Swiss guys from Magnetic Island. Strangely the East Coast is a very small place and you bump into the same people in all the different places.

On our 2nd day we went to the lagoon, the only thing in Cairns to see and lapped up the scorching sun.

The next day we decided to go on a trip to Cape Tribulation, to see the Daintree River and explore the rainforest. Enjoyed this trip but must say the rainforest wasnt nearly as impressive as it was in Belize.

Our last night was spent back in the Woolshed, once again dancing on the tables. It was really sad as we had to say goodbye to all of our friends we had made up the east coast, as unfortunately nobody else was heading to Darwin. :(
