We caught a train to the Ground Zero memorial this morning. The memorial was really nice and seeing the names of the people that died was quite moving. Some of the names had white roses on them showing that it would have been their birthday today. There were big delays on our train line this morning so we had to wait about an hour at the station before our train came along. Once we finally got on the train, there was a homeless man (who looked very frail) preventing anyone coming into his section of the carriage by waving his stick. We were up early due to still being on UK time but we felt relatively well rested considering the flight and time difference.
