Saturday 1st Dec
We needed to do food shopping so we thought to pop over to the famous Victoria Market to see if we could find any bargains. It was massive and certainly need a couple of days to get to see everything! We decided to save it for later and concentrate on food. Unfortunately it failed as Lisa was too distracted, looking at the clothes! She ended up buying 2 tops that she thought she could do with for dressing up smart for any nights out.
We eventually managed to get ourselves to the food section and we bought plenty of fruits and vegs. It was bit expensive, comparing to the supermarket but at least they are very fresh. It was quite fun, searching for stalls that sells the cheapest.
When the markets were closing up, we realised that there were plenty of stalls that were trying to get rid of meats and fishes at cheap prices. We grabbed 1kg of mince which we thought was cheap as it was on sale. Unfortunately fruits/vegs were on sale too which we were annoyed cos we could save money then! We now know for the next time!
We made our way back to the hostel to start cooking our tea which was shepherd's pie and vegs. Yep, we are still cooking english traditional food!
We returned back to the city centre to search for the sunscreen which we found it difficult to find as there were plenty of clothes and cameras shops but hardly chemists. After a long walk, we finally found one which were doing the sale. In fact all the shops are doing the sale so we had to resist them to save money!
We then came back to the hostel and chilled out for the evening.
