Friday 28th Dec

Daniel went ahead and booked ourselves seats for New Year Eve Shuttle. We have booked for 11.30am slot and won't be catching the shuttle back till 1am! So it will be a long day for us!! However we are already looking forward to it!

As we got up in good time, we decided to visit Palm Beach aka Summer Bay which you may have seen in Home and Away. Unforutnately for us, we didn't realise how far away it was! The bus journey was taking forever as it was picking and dropping off so many people! It took at least a hour. We weren't sure where to get off, in fact most people weren't sure either so we all waited till we reached the final bus stop!

Once we got off, it didn't look familar at all so we weren't sure if we got off at the wrong stop! After walking along on the beach, we spotted the familar setting which we continued to walk till we reached to it. Now it was very familar, especially with the entrance leading to the beach. There was a surf club but it did look different from what we have seen on TV. There was a cafe which we were guessing that it was a diner on the show but it looked completely different. So we assumed that they must have props or set up when it come to the filming.

We then found a spot nearby to do bit of sunbathing and took it all in, knowing that it was a set for home and away! We pictured that we were an extra for the show! hahaha However unfortunately we didn't spot any stars from home and away.

After a hour or so, Lisa fell ill and wanted to go home. She was lacking of energy and struggled to walk back to the bus stop. She then told Daniel that she couldn't face going on the long bus journey and just wanted to get back to the hostel asap. Daniel tried to find the taxi which wasn't available in the area at all after enquiring about it in the restaurant. Luckily for us, we were sitting near the first bus stop of the journey which was about to leave so we jumped on and just prayed that the journey would be quicker this time!

Lisa slept during the journey to recover and was amazed that the journey did go quick! It took 40mins to return back. Lisa had a quick shower before reducing herself to bed to recover. Daniel then had to go to the supermarket which was 30mins walk away to get some food for our dinners. Original plan was if Lisa didn't feel unwell, we would have jump off the bus for the supermarket first before arriving back to the hostel, which didn't happen unfortunately.

Once Daniel returned back, he went ahead and cooked dinner which he brought down to our bedroom. Lisa ate a bit but couldn't face eating all of it up. So she asked to keep it for the next day which she could reheat it.

In the evening, we watched another dvd called Brokeback Mountain and we ate another piece of chocolate cake along with our fave cuppa of tea as usual!

Tomorrow, we thought to visit the big shopping mall which is 15mins bus ride away. It depends on Lisa's health.
