Thursday 27th Dec
We took it really easy today by reading books, going on the internet. Just a big chill out in the hostel, take a day off from being in the sun. Though in the evening, We spotted the poster that our hostel was offering the shuttle service to Sydney Harbour for New Year Eve and that the hostel managed to secure the area for viewing of fireworks etc. We thought "Yay!!!!" We didn't have to worry about the transports or where to view the fireworks etc. We went ahead to enquire about it as the poster didn't say about the costs or times! Unfortunately the receptionist didn't know much and suggested to ask another staff who was occupied so we decided to sort it out on the next day.
We then decided to go for a walk on the beach as we wanted to explore what other side of the beach offered.
On our walk, we saw plenty of fishermen, people taking dogs for a walk which made Lisa wishing that she had her dog, Safie walking beside her! She reckons that Safie would love playing on the beach as there were so many for her to nose around! Though she might start chasing after Storks! We first spotted the stork swimming on the sea which we have never seen before! After walking over few rocks, we spotted plenty of storks waiting around, hoping to get fishes that was caught by the fishermen!
Daniel wandered around over the reef, hoping to spot any fishes or crabs in the rock pool which he didn't have much luck! We stopped at one place and watched the sunset going down, the sounds of waves crashing, storks making noises! It was so peaceful, we could sit there for so long but unfortunately Lisa needed to go to the toliet so we had to return back!
